Automatic truck converted to manaual with a 454. Only starts when u turn it over then let off key and sometimes wont turn off. Replaced steering column with another automatic steering column becuse could not find manual one and pressed for time same problem. What to do?
Wiring to the ignition is screwed up under the hood. HEI ? or points? Either way the problem is how the voltage to the ignition is switched. You don't have cranking voltage, but run voltage isn't shutting off either.
