Dad had a Blazer with a 305 and got 11-13.Best was 14.75 and 11.50 pulling 5500 lbs.I had 1 with a 350 got 13-15. Best was 18.5 and 14.5 pulling 5500 lbs.
P.S. Sorry,but the 305 is a waste of time and money.

I think im just gonna get a rebuilt. priced a rebuilt with a 100k mile warrante for 1200 bucks.

Your only losing 45 c.i. A 350 dosen`t cost any more to rebuild. You can practically get parts at the grocery store. Listen to everyone on here. You won`t gain anything changing to a 305.Unless you build it bigger.
