? bout brake light

Have lurked this group for some time and it has been very helpful. Thanks for the tips. The one about 8mm or higher spark plug wires was very useful information. I have an 84 Chevy stepside sb with an inline 6 with over 201,183 miles on it. She burns a little oil. Going to replace the gaskets and see if that helps, as it seems to be leaking around them. I have had my truck for the last 12,000 miles of her journey and so far all I have had to do was replace the water pump, brake job, new tires and a minor tune up and she drives out fine.

My ? is, when I replaced my emergency brake cable, the light indicator stayed on. How do I get it off and to work like it's suppose to?

Any help is greatly appreciated. T

There should be a little push button sensor that the brake pedal when released will push against to turn out the light. Sometimes those things come loose and need readjusted. I should be towards the top of the ebrake pedal.
