Does your dash glow plug light on the dash light up for a few seconds every start regardless of outside temperature?

My '06 does.

Yep, Normal behavior. The computer looks at the outside temperature and decides if you need the glow plugs or not. While it does that it turns the light on.

Does it light during the bulb test (Key on, engine off)? If not either the bulb is blown or there is a problem in the circuit.
