Found ECM commanding full egr at throttle openings just off idle-normal condition. Vacuum leak at rear of intake manifold may be contributing to condition. Recommend replace intake manifold gasket set. Egr diaphragm leaking vacuum recommend replace egr valve. SHIT! jim
Hence my suggestion early on to procure a vacuum gauge and measure the engine vacuum @ idle.

Intake manifold & new EGR shouldn't be too hard though. Just a matter of, "time".
