Since my wife works nights, she accumulates alot of bugs the get splattered on the radiator. Some of them have even bent the cooling fins. What is a good way to remove these bugs, straighten the fins and prevent so much of it from happening?
Pull it out and have a radiator shop clean cost around 10.00 to 15.00 then I would put a screen in front between the grill and the radiator the screen will not restrict air flow and will be alot easier to change out or clean
I've seen screens used in several semis. If you do this, then 1) make it easy to remove 2) clean it often because the finer mesh will plug up much faster than your radiator. Keep an eye on the coolant temp, too, because you are reducing the air flow quite a bit by doing this (believe it or not).
