90 acura integra seat belt issue

My automatic seat belt on the drivers side on my 1990 Acura Integra decided to stop working. It's stuck back in the restrained position which is FINE - I can live with this. What I cannot live with is the BEEPING that the car does all the time now when I drive (the light also blinks but I can deal with that). I was told by a mechanic that there is a wire that controls this alarm. Does anyone know where this wire is and what it looks like so I may rip apart the car and cut it? This mechanic said that since the alarm is a safety precaution he cannot actually do any modifications to it himself. I'm willing to do whatever I have to to make it stop beeping. Can anyone help me?

Check with your local Honda/Acura dealer. I believe the seatbelt assembly is warranted for the life of the car.
