Acura TL: How to turn of the climate control sun position tracking

Does anybody know how to turn off the sun tracking feature in a 2005 Acura TL with Navigation? This feature gets the sun position information from the Navigation System and directs the climate control system to cools the driver more if the sun is on the left.

It may be a great feature in Arizona, but here in northern states become a nuisance.

I seem to remember turning the feature one, but now I cannot find how I did it.

Thank you,

Artak

I'm not aware of any way to turn it off. I had this feature in my '04 TL and now have it in my '05 RL. Can you explain in a bit more detail why you dislike it?

The sun is not very warm in Seattle. especially in Spring. Each time there is a sunny day the AC thinks I am very hot and starts to blow cold air at me, which is not very pleasant. I hav to raise the temperature a few degrees to compensate for that.

Thanks,

Hmmm. Thanks for the explanation. I live near Rochester, NY which has a LOT of cloudy days too, but I don't find this an issue. Sorry that you do and hope you find an answer.

Good luck!

Sounds like you've found the solution - you have to do a tricky little turn of this special knob on the dashboard, but just the right amount...
