dashboard warning lights - 2002 TL-S

The SRS light on the dash came on a few weeks ago, and now light up whenever the car is running. I know I am not the only one to have this happen. I was planning to have my mechanic look at it next time I bring it in for service, but haven't really been too concerned; I'm assuming it's a sensor problem and just needs to be reset.

Now today the "brake lamp" light came on, and now it is staying on as well, even though all the brake lights are working. Is there an easy way to reset this?

Thanks for any advice.

Try sitting in the front passenger seat and lean into the door a couple of times. The most likely sensor to malfunction is the one in the passenger seat that disables the side air bag (and lights the SRS light) when it detects anything laying across it.

How about the stop lights in the back window? Are they all working? You might try re-seating all the brake lights.

If all these poltergeists are showing up at about the same time, you might be suffering from a loose ground somewhere or something out of whack in the charging system. Might not be a bad idea to get the battery and alternator checked out.
