Air in the cooling system is the first culprit. Check to make sure the rad is full, and the reservoir as well.
Old, wet plug wires can effect the same thing.
What was done during the "tune-up"?

i was told itcould be the lifters but it s going to dealer saturday. side mechanics be guessing it only have 60 .thousand miles. broughtit off a coworker friend big mistake. three weeks ago it passed inspection .
