integra stereo

i got a 1990 integra and my deck,inside lights dont work but my clock on the dash works.can anyone tell me what is the problem?????

what do u mean time bomb?i tried hookin up my aftermartket deck and it dosent turn on and i wired it right but still dosent work.when i got the car the stock deck didnt work.what do u think could be the problem????

IF you've done the wiring harness correctly, and both your new deck and the old deck don't work, it's quite likely one of the important wires like the power or ground wire is not connected somewhere.

you can check the viability of your power cable with any cheapo voltmeter. If you don't know how to do this or don't know what I'm talking about STOP NOW and just take the thing to a shop and pay them to fix it. If there's no power from the main power cable, or the ground wire isn't grounded, you'll have to either find the place where the wires broken or disconnected or just replace the whole thing.

There is also the possiblility that both decks are dead. Wire them up to a good 12v source and see if they fire up.

iight ill try that but i have the old deck in my car right know and it dosent turn on but when i drive at night and i turn on my lights were my rpm and speed is the lights on the deck light up...
