Does anybody know how to reset the driver recognition without getting out of the car, locking it and unlocking it? We've tried everything and that seems to be the only thing that works, but it is stupid!

Does anybody know how to reset the driver recognition without getting out of the car, locking it and unlocking it? We've tried everything and that seems to be the only thing that works, but it is stupid!
It turns out that pressing unlock from within the car causes the system to recognize the fob.
