Make sure you purchase an extended warranty. Audi's are very expensive
to repair. Typical problems include hoses getting holes in them around
150KkM, the plastics in the engine getting brittle (overflow). Also
the engine block design has multiple parts; so the gaskets sometimes
leak-usually found in the 2000-2003 models; but an easy repair but
costly labor. Placement of the cup holder above the radio is also a
pain, watch for your radio. Otherwise the A6 is a fine car-just get as
much extended warranty as you can. It will pay for itself-if you are
in Atlanta, then there is only one place to take your car-It is in
Norcross/Alpharetta at Nesbit Ferry and Holcomb Bridge-Hans is the lead
mechanic/owner. AutoHaus I believe is the name-not sure about that.
Coming from 400 turn R at the light (Nesbit Ferry) and it is in the
strip with a Mercedes repair and an AutoZone. Across from
Chevron/McDonalds. He is a former Porsche mech and is the best.
