I'm interested in purchasing a used '02 Audi A4 from a private party. Does anyone know if Audi's maintenance plan is transferable to a second owner?

Yes, in the US maintenance is free for the first 4 years or 50K miles, whatever comes first, regardless if you're the first owner or second or third. Same goes for the original factory warranty.

The important thing to know here is that the original factory warranty applies to the car NOT the owner. So it makes no difference at all if you're the first owner or not.
