slightly bouncy front end on 98.5 A4Q

My 98.5 A4Q is due for oil and filter change and NYS inspection (plus replacement of snow tires with summer tires) next month, and in the last couple of weeks, I've noticed at highway speeds a slight bounce in the front end. Some times it's more obvious than others, depending on the road surface, but basically the car doesn't feel like it's holding its nose down on the road. It doesn't shudder, it just gently bounces, almost like a Cadillac. What might this be? Do I need new shocks, new struts? Both front tie rod ends were replaced last May, and a complete alignment was done by the Audi specialist garage.

There also seems to be a grinding feeling coming from the front that I can't describe well, and this is noticeable at lower speeds. The right front corner control arms were replaced last May, too.

Suggestions for what the problem(s) might be? The car has 97,000 miles on it, and I love it, with its still smooth original clutch.
