The wipers on the subject car just stopped one night in the rain, fortunately I was not in a construction zone, and was able to pull to the shoulder. They resumed working after 3 minutes. In the past it would be more like 30 minutes or more until I changed the wiper relay. If there was no shoulder there would have been an accident on the washington beltway. Long ago I replaced the wiper relay and the problem seemed to go away now it's back. This should not be happening. I will replace the relay but does anyone know if a better solution? Perhaps if I do not use it in the rainsense mode it will not happen. Any thoughts?
The car dies a couple times a year, usually when slowing from high speed, and gearing down. It has a manual tranny. It is very intermittent. I just hit the clutch turn the key back a notch and it starts right back up. Long ago I was told that it was the crank angle sensor, but I never changed it. Does anybody have any new or different information on this, or can reaffirm this?
All answers appreciated, thanks in advance.
