THIS IS THE FIRST BMW I HAVE HAD I ALL WAYS HAVE HAD FORDS ANY WAY I NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS 1 ..I DROVE THE CAR TO MY FRONT DOOR THE OTHER NIGHT GOT OUT OF IT BUT NEVER P[UT THE ALARM ON 15 MIN LATER I WENT OUT AND IT WOULD NOT START ALL THE DASH LIGHTS COME ON BUT NO POWER TO THE STARTER MY KEY FOB OPENS THE DOOR STILL AND TURNS THE ALARM OFF AND ON AND ALL SO IT STILL OPENS THE WINDOWS BUT IS DEAD WHEN I TAKE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE IGNITION THERE IS NOWT ONLY THE LIGHTS ANY HELP WITH THIS 1 WOULD BE GREAT THANKS IN ADVANCE ...HUMAX

Please press the CAPS LOCK key on your keyboard so that people may read your posts without having to squint.

If all electrical functions are good, and battery voltage is about 12.6V, then your key has failed. Remove the key from the vehicle, and with a minimum delay of 15 seconds between removing that key, try one of the other keys that came with the car.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to get it towed to a reputable shop for a complete diagnosis.

It's a username, nickname, whatever name, that is all too often an example of someone who has no clue. If you don't want to state your name, don't post.
