Ecklers (a Corvette equitment supplier) has a "resister" which fools the computer into thinking the correct key is used. My guess it will work on the Camaro.

You can buy one at:
Radio Shack, an Electronics Supply House, any electronics store or Hobby Shop. The trick is measuring the resistance in the key's plug first, then when you unplug the plug for the ignition. Jump the resistor across the female socket left in the vehicle, and tape it in well. Maybe even better, heat Shrink tube it in place!

You don't. Go to a Checy dealer. There are five possibilities in terms of resistors. If you have to, get keys made for all 5. $50 bucks is better than bad wiring!

you can, but the easiest way is if you have an old key. just measure the resistance and put a resistor in line with the same resistance. Common practice with remote starts.
