134a conversion costs???

I have an 85 Silverado, what is the going rate of 134a coversion for my AC?

You need to take the truck to a shop that can recover the R12 (the have to have special equipment to vacuum it out and contain it - you can't just vent it into the air), and once that's done, you use the stuff supplied in the kit (adapters that screw onto the low and high side fittings of the AC system), to put in the 134a oil and freon. It's pretty simple actually.

Some people prefer to replace the accumulator while they're doing this, it's not required, but recommended. They're usually pretty easy to swap, and then have a vacuum pulled on the system afterwards.
