2004 1500 Crew Cab interior question

Looking to build a subwoofer box to put behind the rear seats. Looks like there is plenty of space, but there is a black "tube" looking thing that comes out from the side panel and extrudes behind the rear seat a bit. Haven't taken off all of the panels to see what it is, wondering if anyone else may already know?

Tore it apart. They lead to the backside of the cab, between the cab and bed. Must be to allow air out of the cab.

Yeah, I think they are like, one-way valves that expell air when you've got the AC or heat running.
