2007 Sierra Spy Pictures.

In addition to a new butch look, the 2007 Sierra/Silverado trucks will have:

Noise-dampening foam sprayed on all internal components.

Bigger cabin, more passenger space and plush appointments.

Side curtain airbags.

Stacked headlights.

New four-wheel disc brakes with improved ABS. (Hopefully, the disastrous two-year regression into retro-styled, rear drum brakes on 1500-series trucks will be over in 2007.)

Yes, that's exactly what it is.

The United Auto Workers union was instrumental in getting GM to approve this Ford-look so that Ford assembly plant workers can buy Sierra and Silverado trucks and still park them in "prime spots" at Ford factory lots.

It seems that Ford is Ford-Tough as to where its workers can park non-Ford vehicles in company lots. Although Ford's foreign-built Jiguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Mazda vehicles are exempt from the prime spot restrictions, GM vehicles (even those built by UAW workers in the US) are not.

The GM to Ford transformation requires that all Silverado, Chevrolet, GMC and Sierra emblems and decals be replaced with emblems and decals corresponding to the Ford F-150. The resulting Ford knockoff will fool even the most observant security guards.

Soon, GM will introduce a GM-Only parking policy at its factory lots. GM workers who drive late model Ford F-150 trucks will have more flexibility than GM truck owners parking in Ford lots in that they will have a choice of going with either the Silverado or Sierra look when they do their conversions.

Either way, this is a small price to pay for front row parking.

I'm one of those strange people that think that a truck should ride, look, and act like a truck. having a truck that rides like a caddie is usless because it then will not be used like a truck, and will not handle like a truck, soft suspension, poor off road ability
