85' K-5 Blazer 4WD Question

Currently I have automatic transmission fluid in my transfer case. This is what I was told to put in my transfer case. My father owned a 76' K-10 for many many years, and put hypoid grease in his transfer case, and believes that mine should use the same. Any clarification would be great. Thank ya much.

Nein - das ist ruckwart. Ein 205 braucht 80-90, und ein 203 braucht 10-40. (as per my Haynes book). :-)
