95 c1500 turn signal

Hey all, I have a 95 c1500 and having a problem. Whoever had the truck before me used it as a work truck, so it got some abuse. One of the spots that this came up at was the hazard switch on the steering colom. when i got the truck i could literaly punch down on it and it wouldn't budge. At the time I was willing to live with that, but the problem has gotten worse, I have lost the use of the direction indicatior, only working a couple of flashes in a few months of use. I have already replaced the winker box under the dash, and it solved nothing.

Right now i'm hoping that someone could help me out a little bit, like some ideas about whats wrong and how to fix it. My take on it at this point is that the directional indicatior in the colum is shot and needs to be replaced. For a new one from auto zone the price sits about $200. Chevy factory is around $300. That sent me looking for junkyards, and no one around my area has one. So I'm hoping that someone has a 95 that they are parting out that has NO TILT, NO CRUSE. If someone dose, or knows a cheap place to get them, please e-mail me.

Thanks in advance

============================ You mentioned the hazard switch and "punching" it down, maybe it is on or broken in some way, try to pull it "out", that is where it should be or it will kill the signals.

Try this,,

seems like this place was under a hundred for a 93 Silverado, but it'sbeen awhile (last summer), should work in your case tho.and,, are you sure that your flasher is released ???? it's worth anotherlook. I think I would really look closely,, checking for ground at thesockets, & have the wires at the sockets been cut into or spliced fortrailer lights, etc ??

Hope this helps. Rich IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
