Been awhile since I've been on here, and it's time to do the fluids on my '99 Blazer 4x4 before she goes camping next month. We've had this vehicle for about a year now (72K miles) and I've been keeping it in Mobil 1 engine oil, but other than that, haven't done anything with the fluids, and I don't know the history before we got it.
So, recommendations?
I'm thinking AT fluid and filter plus chassis lube, but what else? The maintenance schedule says to check the front and rear axle (differential?). I won't be doing this work myself, so what should I tell the shop?
Am I correct in assuming that the 4.3 Vortec has a timing chain and I don't need to worry about timing belts?
