Can I mount 245-70-15 tires on 15 inch rims ?

using standard size original steel 15 inch wheels or do you think these are too big for these wheels?

Depends on what the original steel rims are from. If they are off a VW Beetle those tires are WAY to wide. If they are off of a NASCAR race car those tires are WAY to narrow.

245x70x15 should fit on a 7-8 inch wide rim OK.
