Express Van Brake problems

I am curious to see if there are others in this group who have (or are having) the same problem as me.

I have a 2001 Express Van 3500 conversion chassis that has an RV on the back.

Now I have about 50,000 miles on it and am getting ready to have a 4th brake job done. It seems that the rotors warp, especially when doing lots of braking such as on mountain roads. It occurs when I am doing heavy stop and go city driving as well.

After they cool down, they are OK until I start doing heavy braking again.

The warping and shimmying of the brakes gets so severe that it becomes hazardous especially if driving on an icy pavement.

Chevy replaced these three times under warranty.

I have been given recommendations on installing some aftermarket brakes or rotors that have been cryogenically (similar to how racers treat their brakes) treated to resolve this problem.

I am wondering if there are many others like me so that we should push GM to do a recall on these brakes by complaining to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration..

I have several other owners of the same model RV owners who are having the same issue.

You may respond directly to me if you do not want your info posted on the news group.
