Gear and posi install made my ABS check light come on

I just installed 4.10 gears and Eaton Lockers in my 04 Chevy Silverado

4.8L. After the install my ABS/Brake check light came on and still goes on and off periodical. The only conculsion I can come to is that I had to bleed the brake line to get one of the back calipers back on. Anyone with answers Thanks

I have heard there is a sensor at the transmission tail shaft. If you don't get the computer reprogrammed, for the gear change, the driveshaft rotations will not correspond to the front tire rotation. If you already got the reprogram (recalibrate the speedo) then I guess you just wasted 2 min. reading this. If you did the reprogram with a handheld (hypertech) check some of the online posts about the wrong calibrations being entered with some units.

What gears were in it before? Remember the system compares the rpm of the front wheels, to the rpm of the rear, to the reading from the speed sensor. Changing the gear ratio causes the system to see readings that are out of its programming parameters and trips the light.

If you properly reflash the ECM the problem will go away. THe ecm supports up to 4.56 or so with proper reprograming. If you are runnign

33's or better with a 4.8, I would not have wasted time installimg a 4.10, I would have went for a 4.56.

Pull the codes and you will find out why the light is coming on. That would be the best starting point, anything else would be a guess at best.
