Parking Brake Light Flashing

Hello All,

I have a 1989 S-10 Blazer, 4.3L, auto, 4x4. I recently replaced the rear main seal successfully. However, my parking brake light is now flashing. Seems to be 9 continous flashes in a cycle. I can't find any info on this. Anybody have a read and/or solution? TIA

Thanks for your response. I would like to fix it correctly. My daughter will start driving it next year. As far as the flashes, to me it looks like 9 short flashes. All of the flashes appear to be the same duration. Thanks again.

Is your tranny working OK????? (just curious)

a suggestion 4-U........

1) pull the fuse for the rwal system to clear the codes, then drive it and see if the code comes back

2) already tried that???? didn't work????

then..... reconnect the speed sensor wire on the Transfer Case

3) already tried that???? didn't work??? then..... make sure you didn't mess up the pigtail connector or the wires for the speed sensor on the Transfer Case, when you did the rear main seal job.

4) already tried that???? didn't work??? you sure??? your're positive!!!!

then ........ install a new speed sensor.

5) already tried that????? didn't work???? you sure???? you wouldn't lie to a feller would yuh??

then....... good luck!!!!! cuz you got me.....I don't know.

but.... here's some help.....

hopefully helpfull,

marshmonster ~thinks maybe you yanked the wires a little too hard, or maybe you ran the thing without the sensor plugged in~ =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D

I should amend my last post, and be a little more expicit regarding the flashes. There are 9 quick, successive flashes, but preceded by 1 long flash (if you want to call it that). It looks to me to be the start of the flash process.

So, to recap :o), 1 long flash, followed by 9 quick flashes. Thanks again.
