Rear window leak

My 94 S-10 Blazer has been showing trouble signs at the rear window. The rear wiper doesn't work. The mechanism that latches the window squeaks in relation to speed and road surface conditions.

Realized yesterday that the weatherseal attached to the vehicle around the rear window opening pushes the window slightly out. This is what keeps the latch snug. The weatherseal is broken at its flex point, cannot provide any outward pressure. How difficult is it to replace the weatherseal around the rear window opening on this vehicle?

The vinyl/plastic box that goes around the rear window wiper motor and washer dumped a good sized amount of water when I opened the rear window yesterday. The rear wiper has never worked, the washer does. I found mud/dirt under both corners of the weatherseal that attached to the window opening. Otherwise, no physical signs of a cause of a leak. What normally causes a leak back there?
