Hi all please can someone help me? I own a 1988 suburban R20 454ci 3/4 ton, with a thm400 transmission. I have a trans temp switch that i purchased from LMC, but i cant find the damn thing, its not shown in my manuals, and i cant see it anywhere. if anyone has ever fitted one please let me know where to find it. thanks in advance xxxxxl
I don't think they had such a beast in 1988. Is there a problem you are trying to solve? Bob
Hi bob and thanks, I bought a trans temp switch from LMC to fix a minor but irritating problem, she changes very smoothly, but if you drive for half an Hour, then stop for half an hour, and then drive again, when you pull away she sticks in first and will only shift up under heavy acceleration, if you move the stick into neatral then back down to drive it will then change up, but not before. Because it is a temp sort of problem, thats why i bought the switch, its listed in Lmc for my year and model, any idea where it is on other trucks. thanks xxxxxl
