Windshiels washers

My windshiels washers are no longer working. Before I take it to a garage, has any one fixed this problem on there own?

Yes it does have water in it!

OK, to reply with some info that's actually useful: in my case, the little filter/sieve thingie at the end of the suck-it-up pipe in the container kept clogging up with congealed washer fluid (water, anti-freeze, detergant). Changing the fluid, rinsing out the container, flushing the hoses and re-filling it fixed that problem for me.

First, you need to test the wire harness leading to the pump, then test the pump itself. You want to verify that the harness is producing +12V when you run the washers, and then run a 12V lead directly from the battery to the pump and see if it kicks on.

Hi!

My truck doesn't have any winshiels washers...

Check the nozzles, make sure they aren't plugged. Make sure the pump seems to be working. It should make some noise when activated from the paddle control.

Also, make sure nobody has 'borrowed' your nozzles! While unlikely, it is doable on some cars with little more than a screwdriver.
