1989 New Yorker water pump.

Does anyone one know where the water pump is located / how to replace?

Dude, I don't want to be rude but if you can't find it you probably are going to need more help than a newsgroup can offer to replace it.

It would depend a great deal on which engine is in the car.

You have to jack up the engine, unbolt the motor mount bracket from one side, take off the timing belt cover. The water pump is driven by the timing belt on the mitsu 3.0 v6.
