2004 Town and Country passenger window

I am working on a 2004 minivan with 25000 miles. Quite a while ago, the window on the passenger's side became intermittent. Shortly after it became intermittent, it stopped working completely. I looked in the owner's manual and it says the fuses and relays for the windows are under the dash near the steering column.

Has anyone had to go into this stuff? I am just wondering which thing they are talking about under the dash. Maybe I missed something, but I don't think anything is marked "windows" that I could see. I haven't had the door panel off yet.. seems like every time I have an opportunity, it's about to rain.

I unplugged and re-plugged the connectors behind the fender. Didn't see any corrosion in there and it didn't change the operation of the window. The power mirror on that side still works properly as does the power lock switch.

The window regulator is bad. A common problem with Chrysler regulators. Replace the assembly

I'm assuming this is not something usually covered by the warranty, correct?

3/36 unless you have a service contract

Drat! I'm sure that's going to be a pricey part.. at least I will save on the labor.

So, does the regulator include the motor, or is that separate?

I had this problem on my 2001 GC on the drivers window, and it was the window switch. George

would like to think that would be the problem, but it doesn't work from either switch and no current drain on the system at all when either switch is actuated.

the regulator isn't that expensive after all, so I will just go ahead get one and slap it in there in the near future...

On a lot of Chrysler vehicles, the power for the passenger windows feeds thru contacts (for those windows) in the drivers switch panel to the switch in the passenger door. So a problem in the driver's switch panel can prevent a passenger window from working from *either* switch (i.e., the switch for that window in the driver's panel *and* the switch in the passenger door) simultaneously. I know it's that way on the LH cars - wouldn't be surprised if the T&C wasn't the same basic design (and with similarly failure-prone driver panel switches).

I've noticed that the window controls "seem" to be mounted on a piece of the door panel that "looks" like it should pop out without yanking off the whole door panel. Am I correct in this assumption, or should I just go ahead and take the whole thing off the door to access the winder switches?
