'85 New Yorker Stereo removal

Hello everyone. Me again! I am attempting to swap stereos on my '85 New Yorker. The problem I am having is that I can not find anything thing to remove the two screws that hold the stereo in place. It' got a round head with three indentations about 120 degrees apart on the head.

I tried most of my local auto parts and they looked at me like I was on something.

HELP!!

After receiving info from Steve B., on the tool needed, ( Eaton tamper-resistant fasteners Socket) and it's unavailability except through Snap-On, I pulled out my drill and drilled a few holes on the plastic hold down brackets. Then broke the brackets off and used small vise grips to remove the hold down screws.

In my haste, I accidentally tapped the rear view mirror with my forehead and it popped off.

Anyone know. if those rear view mirror repair kits will work in cold weather. (I'm near Chicago) and it's about 30 degrees here.

pick any of them up at the local autozone, run your car, set the fan & heat on high, direct it at the front winshield..... wait til it warms up.

Miller Tool makes the little socket that removes those screws. It is tool # C-4537. Miller can be reached at: 800-801-5420. Be prepared to pay a bunch, but at least they have it.

Good luck,

Mopar Randy
