Chrysler Concorde

I have a Chrysler Concorde. It keeps turning over and over again before it starts. I was told it could be the cold engine sensor. Does anybody know much about this car and could possibly give me some other possibilities for it not turning over immediately.

How many miles does the car have on it? Have you ever changed the fuel filter?

I would think that if the fuel filter were that restrictive, he'd have other symptoms - like acceleration issues - that he would be posting about - not just delayed starting.

Sounds like either a leaking injector (allowing the fuel rail to empty out when it sits - pump has to refill and pressurize the rail before it sees fuel at startup - clean or replace injector(s)), or the fuel pump check valve is leaking allowing the rail to empty back to the tank (new fuel pump). I've seen losts of posts of this symptom on the 300M Club forums, and it's almost always one of those two things.

If black smoke comes out the exhaust when it does finally start, that would point more towards an injector (raw fuel in cylinder from injector leak). If no black smoke, then more likely the check valve.

Do you find that turning the key to "run" (without going to "start") for a second, then to "off", and then attempting to start gives a quicker start?
