Sorry to be so exact -act -act -act -act -act :)
Calm down, calm down. Don't go off the deep end over it.
I will paraphrase my previous post (and what I posted previously agrees with the following): In both lines (the "heart attack" line and the "Cadillac" line) - the repeated sound is "ack" (or "ac" if you will), and in both cases (the "heart attack" line and the "Cadillac" line), the "ack" ("ac") sound is repeated 5 times after the original word. To wit: "...heart attack -ack
-ack -ack -ack -ack", and "...Cadillac -ac -ac -ac -ac -ac". I'm not in the music biz, but I think they call something like that a "hook" or a "gimmick".
The repeated sound on the "Cadillac" line is definitely *NOT* "lac", nor is it repeated only 3 times.
I then stated that I checked several lyrics sites (and they *all* agree
- not one had "lac" after "Cadillac") and that I just listened to the actual song from the "Stranger" album. (Full disclosure: Some lyric sites had no repeat sounds after "heart attack" and "Cadillac" - an obvious simplification on their part - but of those that did have the repeated sounds, it never was "lac" after "Cadillac". One site had the "ac" after "Cadillac" repeating 6 or 7 times - all the others had it 5 times, which is what is on the recording if you listen to it.)
