Help ID unknown new car with huge chrome "X" grill

A few days ago I got a fleeting glimpse of what looked to be a brand new car with the largest chrome grill I have seen on a vehicle since the old Rolls Royces. The grill had to be at least two feet tall and had vertical chrome with a huge X(each leg of the X was about 3 inches across) placed on top and going from the top to the bottom of the grill. As the car turned on to the road going the opposite way, I think I got a glimpse of its logo on the back. If it wasn't the elongated Chrysler logo, it was something very similar. I assumed it was the Chrysler 300, but I haven't seen any type of grillwork like that on the Chrysler website. I don't remember much about the vehicle other than it seemed to have that muscular low-slung gangster look of the Chrysler 300. But the grill looked like it was a refugee from some

ancient Rolls Royce.

Any help in IDing this car and/or its grill(if it is a custom grill for

the 300 or whatever) would be greatly appreciated.

What city did you see this?

What you saw was a Chrysler Imperial concept car. It was shown for the first time at the Detroit auto show last month. It was so "special" that no-one was allowed to sit in it's interior (not even journalists during press week).

I'd be very surprised if this car was just driving around out in the open (without being covered with canvas as is usually done to hide pre-production cars that are taken on test drives).

Is there going to be an auto show where near where you saw it? Did you see it near a convention center?

Yes, the in-your-face styling of Chrysler's cars since the Germans bought chrysler continues. I can't wait for Rolls Royce to sue them for the outright theft of their trademark look.

It was one of the cities that comprise the Virginia Peninsula; Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, and lower York County. It was coming out of some shopping center/grocery store parking lot...not a car dealership, but other than that the details are vague. I'll check to see if there are any upcoming auto shows in the area. Thanks for the info on the model, MoPar Man.

YOu don't give enough details. I would guess it is the new Bently 4 door. It is a bit similar to a 300. The new Rolls Royce has a huge grill, but it looks nothing like a 300.
