Squeak 1994 Voyager

1994 plain vanilla 3.0 liter Voyager, small minivan.

car makes a little squeak, all sorts of gentle acceleration, any of the gear changes at slow speed.

Originally thought it was the exhaust attaching to the engine, a little lose. One mechanic tightened it.

Hear this squeak every time just a little acceleration or going gently from 1st to 2nd.

Wondering, could it be the trans shifting, or engine, perhaps an engine mount?

Regular mechanic is a pain to do any check-outs so thinking of going to the dealer. Heck, getting the A/C belt tightened properly has turned into a real hassle. Wound up doing it myself. Strange 15 mm to loosen the pulley, and then SAE, around 9/16" to do the tightener. Figured the nut on one was stripped or is it really possible to mix and match metric and SAE inches like this. Okay, that's another question.

The squeak has got me. Guess put it on a lift to see if it still squeaks to rule out anything. What to ask for?

Squeak squeak squeak. It's been getting worse but after a year, not terribly bad and just more consistent.

One last question. The Valet key which opens all but the little lock box under the seat. The dealer hemmed and hawed, would be a hassle but they will make the key. Wonder if worth the trouble. Wonder why all the trouble at the dealer. Regular key makes can't get it quite right for the valet key.

Replace the donut gasket which is in between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipes..I had to replace mine about every 3 years. Also have the new donut gasket lubed with high temp grease before installing..Rick
