1959 A.C. Ace (Bristol) repair manuals

Looking for wiring and workshop manual for a '59 A.C. ACE (Bristol) a friend of mine rescued one from a garage after sitting for 25 years. I have spark after jumping the hot side of the coil, but nothing from the ignition. I'm a Triumph guy, and while this is very similar, it is also very different. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, where could we find the history of this particular car. Thanks!!

I doubt very much if there is such a thing as a workshop manual for any AC Ace, regardless of age or engine. However the AC Owners Club (you should be able to find details on the net) will be able to tell you anything you want to know, technically and historically.

There shouldn't be anything very odd about the wiring and the ignition, like that of a Triumph it should obey the laws of common sense - but there the resemblance ends, except that the 2 litre Triumph engine makes quite a good replacement for anything else that the works might have fitted.
