Octane Magaine -- Back Issues

Hi, I'm looking for the #5 (Nov. 2003) issue of Octane Magazine. Their website shows this issue to be NLA. Arrrrrghhhh! Please, if anyone has (or knows anyone who does have) this issue and would be willing to part with it, please contact me offlist. TIA!

I'm still kicking myself over this mag - I frequent a news stand where I buy nothing but UK car mags and the owner gave me Octane free for the first five issues. I smiled, took them, and passed them on to friends at work as I already spend too much (the exchange rate is killer). I actually *read* the 6th, and immediately lamented I hadn't bothered with all the free ones :( Emanuel (which is, of course, no help to you)

Nope. No help whatever.

Although, if you wanted to, er, "lean" on said friends to return them, I would be happy to testify on your behalf in exchange for issue #5.

Sadly, the ONLY issue missing from the 1st 6 is #5. Usually it is the premiere issue that disappears, but no, not here.

ARGH.

I'll ask around, but it's probably fruitless. I buy about 15 mags a month, all told, and pass on the titles I don't save (CAR, EVO, Auto Italia, Mercedes Enthusiast, Practical Classics if there's no mention of Rolls-Royces or Porsches, the US titles) and they seem to continue dispersing. Someone at work saw me reading an issue of CAR once and mentioned his brother-in-law reads the same mag. Subsequent conversation revealed the BIL was the cousin of a friend that takes my old copies. That's all one may reasonably expect, even an unreasonable guy like I am.

The short answer is "no." The long answer is "no-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o."
