Very hard to identify, but ----

The cannibalized body of this 1960's stock-car is from a rear-engine --- what?

At first the louvres and the two hinges suggested a Fiat 600, but all Fiats had a generous space between the two runs of louvres, for a licence plate. It's not any Renault that I know.

The stock car was built in the early 1960's from a scrapped vehicle, so this model was likely a late 50s or very early 60s car.

If someone could check the rather poor photo and suggest a possible make and model, I would be grateful.

It's likely that most of the cabin and rear lid are from a single model. The link is here:

------------------------------------------------- Looks a bit like a 1950s Renault 4CV.

Thank you --- I've looked at a couple of 4CV's, and their engine covers seem to have distinct "compound curves" compared to the rather flat one on the stock car. I will look for earliert 4CV's.

The chap who bought and drove the stock care is certain the donor car was 1950s, even early 50s.
