Where to buy and MGB

Hi,

I am looking for a good MGB. I have looked at Former Glory in west London. I am struggling to find alternative places to look.

I dont mind travelling so can anyone suggest places where I can find a reasonable choice of good quality MGBs for sale?

TIA

First off the top of my head is a place on the A5 at Norton Canes, near Cannock. Can't remember what it's called. There are plenty more. A quick glance at Practical Classic mag shows Beech Hill Garage, Reading, Clevewood Garage, Bristol, The Old Star Garage, Wetherby, Lenham Sports Cars, Harrietsham, Kent, Oselli, Witney, Oxon. More still that aren't in that issue.

Usual advice is, if you know you want a specific car, join the Owners' Club first. You'll get lots of info that way.

That's the one that I was just going to suggest. I drive past it quite often and it always seems to have a decent selection in.

Paul Depper MGs, Watling St A5, Cannock, WS11 9NA 01543 376222 ...gotta love Google Maps.

Mercury Classic Cars in Fife usually have a good selection. You did say you didn't mind travelling.....

Mate of mine is selling a scruffy but pretty solid, chrome bumper, wire wheel, MGB GT for around a grand.

Taxed and tested, but needs lots of cosmetics, it's like one of those MGB's you used to see years ago being bumbled about in, perfect thing for a restoration though. "G" reg, but I suspect it's a 71. It's got a DVLA issue chassis number for some reason.
