airbag light goes on and off. had it check and they believe its a short somewhere. anyone has had this problem before. how hard is it to resolved.

More then likely the clock spring in the steering column is bad, you need to have the fault code checked out to verify what is bad. I would not put this off because it could cause the air bag to prematurely go off or not go off when it is supposed to.

Does the cruise control also come and go? Could be the clockspring, common problem.
