Hi i just purchased a 1997 Stratus 2.4 and i have strange problem it won't take gas from the pump it acts like it full the gauge is working . i contacted the prevous owner he said he had fuel pump
replaced and its done it ever since i have looked and the hose conecting the fill tube to the tanks looks like a radiator hose and it is not kinked as a mild oval arounf the fran thats it any idea sure would be apreciated tire of gas on my feet ! also i ran code reader and cam back with P1489 High speed fan relay well i bought the relay and it cured the problem for a day so i asume theres a short or is it posible a bad fan ? thanks again for any help

I try to put gas in and the pump shuts off i have to pump it 3cent at a time its like the vent is not working on the tank to let the air escape the guy i bought it from said he had a new fuel pump put in and its done it every since .
the check engince just came back on with the code P0455 EVAP Emission Control System Leak (Large) i was wonder if the 2 may be related or what is the most comon cause for this besides the gas cap

When the fuel pump was installed the return vent hose that goes into the tank got kinked, that's why you cant put gas in it fast, take it back to whoever put the pump in it and tell then to put the vent hose in without kinking it. The evap hose can be a number of things, anything from a broken hose or another vent hose loose or cracked,
