Well you can keep throwing parts at it until you get it running or go back to basics, spark-fuel-compression or take it to someone who can diagnosis it for you. Glenn Beasley Chrysler Tech

you said "i have a 96 dodge neon, it has sat for the last 6 months, went to crank it up will not crank" If this is true why would you buy a fuel filter, relay, plugs, and fuel pump?

If it does turn but not start, try checking the basics, like maxpower said spark-fuel-compression.

if i knew what that meant i would, i took the advice of the tec. at the auto parts store, and these are the things that he advised me to do. but so far this has not worked that is why i am seeking futher advice. i am out in the country and no way to get it to a mechanic that can put it on a diagnostic system check.

Keep in mind that most of the guys that work at these parts counters are only there because McDonalds would not hire them...

With that said, you say "went to crank it up will not crank". Is it even turning over?
