Just a quick note to let you know an issue that I had with my truck. I googled "Cummins pulsing" (insert joke here) and came up with nothing. So, I thought I would write something for the archives for the next guy like myself that has this issue.
At some point I got a bad batch of diesel or got some crap in the tank somehow. My truck started "pulsing" at idle. It was much worse when the engine wasn't warm. In fact, you could see the RPM needle flucuating about 50-100 RPM. As the engine warmed, it got better. But it would still "pulse". I had a Ford gasser once that did this and I had to have the computer replaced.
So, I purchased "Delo Complete Fuel System Cleaner". It was the most reputable brand at the auto part store I went to.
After 50 miles ... no more pulsing.
