I have to admit I'm starting to have doubts of the survival of this dang thing I got Dakota excab 2k model.
1 wiper motor is slow (even when on high), (just annoying)2 maybe I have brake problems, opposite of yours JMC, I think. mine kept locking up the 31inch wheels, in the wet. thought these dang things had antilock (at least on rear?) even though I didn't read that anywhere yet... PLUS about half hour (lunch break) earlier, I'd tested the brakes and it was like they brakes felt more like they didn't want to stop the truck... go figure, hasn't done that since rain day.
3, the worst, Tranny is howling\squeaking when clutch is all the way let out, in gear or neutral, quits if you barely touch the pedal though. Any thoughts? I'm really hoping throw out bearing?4 and a final question, the 2 short shafts, where they com out of the front diff, go to the hubs, on mine you can really rattle these... about 1 inch up or down at the middle... bal joints seemed good, and the toe was out by a bit according to the tech that I trust. So, I assume this is NOT right. the one end would seem to be kind of loose, where it connects to the diff. Holy Sheeeit, guess it will be parked until Feb at this rate of expenses...
