Does your engine have one of them fancy K&N filters like the one in the link? :)

Heck, no. I don't want to rebuild twice every week. ;)

Besides, it already accelerates close to 3 times faster than a stocker (approx 9 Hp compared to just about 4 stock). If'n it gained the 2,000,000 Hp K$N claims, it'd rip the chassis out from under the body work.

And that'd leave me needin a wrecker just to get me off the ground again.

It's an attached pic, Greg. I'll email it to you.

Probably because of the Binary he attached to it. Many news servers have restrictions about posting binaries in non-binary groups and some servers deal with it by removing the attachment and other refuse the entire post.

Uh, Tom, I already sent him the pics.

Got it Budd, thanks.

' Guess you'll have to mount an old Pratt-Whitney rotory engine in yours now to out do him.

Nope, I'm not going to try . . . think of him trying to harness that 883's power thru those Vespa scooter tires . . . .Heck, I had a Honda 450 with the cam timing off due to a bad timing chain step out on me on driveway seal coating a couple times.

I am sure that you did. I simply gave a reason as to why he didn't get your initial post.

Whatever.

Btw, Tom, check out this link . . .

I'm glad I've always used my name. What do you think of it?

Why not? Do I now need you permission to post or are you just trying to start an argument? You are going to have to do far better than this to get me to bite :-).

LOL, I think that you already know what I think of that BS. So much for that smaller government and personal freedoms that he lied about.

We know who you are. No need to get paranoid.

I ask a simple (one darn word, yet!!!!) question and get accused of trying to start an argument or moderate the group . . .good grief!

Uh, oh, you just broke that new law. . . . .maybe . . . .

You didn't read the whole story, did you? Arlan Specter (R) (The Spectre ?!?!?!) was involved in inserting the wording into a bill that had to pass. I figure the Libs will raise a question of Constitutionality on it somehow.

I'm not, but are you? I don't use a screen name. If you don't hide anything, you don't have to worry about it being discovered and then trying to defend yourself.

Did you consider the possibility that I asked you because I know your reaction to your name being given out and actually wanted a simple, honest input FOR THE GROUP?????

Sheeesh!

Well, since this is your second response to the same post and with our past history, you would suspect nothing different either but to answer your question, I was making a general statement about the way many news servers work to let people know that if they post a binary into a non-binary group, there is a good chance that many will never see it.

LOL

I did read the entire story but he still signed it. You would be right about the Libs or anyone with an IQ over 5 raising a question over such an ignorant piece of legislation.

Yea, I guess the right of privacy doesn't mean much anymore, right Budd. So much for personal liberties in our new world of fear and paranoia.

With the type of people that can be found on Usenet, there is no wonder why so many don't use their real names and most that do only use their first name. I used to use my real name until it was hijacked by some lowlife scumbag and then I learned not to do that. Most of your friends in this group also don't use their real or full names in here and probably for similar reasons.

Ok, But don't you think Greg and I might already know that?

Btw, this is strike two against you since I tried to stop the animosities. Until you are will ing to leave the past behind, you'll always see stuff like this in any post I make to you.

;)

The funny part is the Libs will use that very same "smaller government" argument, most likely, and, yet, they've never actually tried to reduce the size of government.

My personal liberties haven't been abridged by it, but those seeking to harrass and cyberstalk have had theirs curtailed sharply. Unfortunately, innocent parties are also caught up in it as a simple, enthusiastic "discussion" might violate the law.

Who? MAXDodge / MAX340? He's posted his name before. Sandman (nate) no longer goes by his screen name. And it's the same with several others. I used Mr-D150 for a short time because I had it in the "name shown" line of O.E., but that was the only reason. It wasn't any fear of ID theft.

I think some of the others go by screen names just for the fun of it or because the name used to be their CB handle. Heck, mine was "Boogieman". If I threw in my old call sign, you could track me thru the FCC, probably.

The point is, Tom, if you've used your name and S.S.# for identification on anything, license or such, then your info can be found out. It's too late to be paranoid. Most ID theft comes from credit cards, check stubs, lost driver's licenses, and the like.

Maybe you do, maybe you don't, but you are not the only two that read these threads and if I didn't respond to your initial post, Greg may have never known you posted it at all.

Now Budd, lets not start keeping score or we will wind up right back where we started.

The sad thing Budd is neither have the right. All they seem to do is make it easier for the rich to screw the poor, pretty much like this current mining accident.

And that is exactly my point, thank you. The problem with this boneheaded legislation is that there is no valid way to even define it, nevermind enforce it

How about Roy, Denny, Mac, theguy, miles, transsurgen, carolinabreeze just to name a few off of the top of my head besides Max. There are many here who don't use their full name and even you use your nickname for your first name. You don't have to be doing it for the purpose of hiding to get nailed by this stupid assed law.

I doubt that. With the 3 people that still work there, I doubt that they could track much of anything :-) and there was a reason why people used call signs on the CB instead of their real names as well.

It is not identity theft that I am or was worried about but there are scumbags that like to post with others identity and while I don't care if th ey use my handle that way, I would if they used my actual name and it has happened. Like I said before, in Usenet there are all kinds in here and it is always better to be safe rather than sorry.

ROTFLMBO!!!!! Gee, if he didn't read my post, then how could he have resoponded to it?

Now, Tom, once you broke covenant and this second time you almost did with your insinuations.

Leave the past behind if you want to begin anew.

What "right" are you talking about? It's up to the voter to elect the best possible candidates then let them know they are responsible back to their constituents, not big business, not lobbyists, not foreign countries.

And if they don't, then the voters need to get off their butts and get rid of them.

So, what do you do? I plan to notify my congresspersons and raise Caine over it.

No, you missed the point, which is the only people that really need to worry are those that refuse to give their name, for any reason.

Originally it was for identity security as many, if not most, CBers operated illegal, in one respect or another; no license, illegal power, talking skip, etc. Then it became "normal".

Look what you wrote, Tom . . .

"I used to use my real name until it was hijacked by some lowlife scumbag and then I learned not to do that. "

Uh, Tom, that's ID theft, period.

But, like I said, if you don't ever post anything that you wouldn't want to be connected with, then you have no worries. Your friends will read the post and know it isn't you.
