Want to buy Chrysler?

They only lost a billion dollars last year! Now they are shutting down 2 plants and letting go 13,000 workers. The germans bought her for $40 billion. Now
they think they will be lucky to get $20 billion. One posible buyer is a chinese company wanting to get a foot hold in the American market.
Looks like the germans raped her pretty good.

That was yesterday, this is today! There is also a rumor circulating that DC and GM are in talks about GM acquiring Chrysler........
We shall see.....

It doesn't seem to make much sense that GM would want to buy Chrysler. What would they be getting out of it? They both already have too much capacity and GM is facing bankrupcy. Chyrsler would probably already be defunct if they didn't have the deep pockets of Daimler. It would seem that for GM to buy Chrysler would just serve to put them both out of business sooner.

I read your post and that alliance would make sense. Chyrsler would get some financial help and GM would finally get some design help. They've been building butt ugly cars and box on wheels trucks for years.
