Fiat gives USA special 500 model

From LLN

Chrysler announced earlier this month that it had started selecting
outlets for Fiat’s North American return, and now Fiat has announced
it has
selected the first U.S. customers for its 500 city car.

Laura Soave, Head of
Fiat North America, surprised Fiat fans over the
weekend by making a surprise
appearance at the annual convention of
the Club Fiat-Lancia Unlimited. Although
Soave is a long-time fan of
the Fiat brand, she wasn’t there to just check out
the rides.

Soave announced that Fiat’s loyal U.S. enthusiasts would be rewarded
with the opportunity to reserve the first batch of special edition
500s
earmarked for the U.S. Dubbed the Cinquecento ‘Prima Edizione’,
just 500
examples of the limited edition models are planned.

“The Fiat Cinquecento Prima
Edizione was developed especially with the
Fiat fans in mind,” said Laura Soave,
Head of Fiat North America, who
personally presented the opportunity to the Fiat
aficionados. “For
over a quarter of a century, the members of this Club have
kept the
spirit of the Fiat and Lancia brands alive in North America through
their unique and passionate support for true Italian design. We
really value
their loyalty, and the Prima Edizione is our gift of
appreciation to these fans
on behalf of Fiat North America.”

Fiat fans will be able to order the Prima
Edizione in three colors —
Bianco (White), Rosso (Red) and Grigio (Gray). All
Prima Edizione
models will be equipped with a manual transmission and Fiat’s
MultiAir 1.4L four-cylinder engine. Of course, special Prima Edizione
badging
will also be part of the package.

Yep, If you're under 5'-8" you may get in it;
